18 Jan Open Works – Studios
Open Works (www.openworksbmore.com), Baltimore’s newest makerspace, is now offering over 100 studio spaces for rent in the heart of our bustling creative community. Each comes with partitions, a power drop, high-speed wi-fi, a storage locker, an optional workbench, and access to utility sinks and meeting rooms. All of our micro-studios are sub-addressed so you can use them as a business mailing address.
Packages can be sent and received from our front desk. Studio spaces are surrounded by workshop and teaching space, including facilities for working with wood, metal, digital fabrication, 3D printing, digital media, textiles, and electronics.
We regularly host events, classes, and happy hours, bringing together a diverse community of artists, makers, designers, entrepreneurs, and small manufacturers. Located just inside the Station North Arts and Entertainment District, locating your art or design practice at Open Works makes you eligible for certain tax benefits.
We have plentiful lot and street parking for both cars and bikes; are a ZipCar site with both a van and a car; are right across the street from the #8 bus line stop; and are a 10-minute walk from Penn Station. Within walking distance of the Station North Tool Library, Baltimore Print Studios, Baltimore Jewelry Center, Area 405, the CopyCat, the Cork Factory, Baltimore Design School, Spacecamp, the Windup Space, Motor House, and other established and emerging spaces.
Greenmount Coffee Lab, a project of Red Emma’s and Thread coffee roasters, will be opening in our space in December. Come join our bustling creative community today. Sign up for a membership tour on EventBrite or email us directly. ***Please note studio spaces are linked to membership at Open Works, so you have to take some access to the workshops in addition to the base studio fee of $125.***
