This is a medium-sized, hanging piece measuring 9 1/2″w by 25″h (from the top of the hanger). It will move gently if given the space to do so.
This mobile collection is inspired by my love of collecting treasures at low tide on natural beaches and the golden horizon lines that draw us together at sunrise and sunset.
All of the pieces are hand-cut from reclaimed, exotic, wood used in a guitar makers studio or collected from friends and family. After cutting, I carefully sand and hand-paint each piece. They are then hung with Brazilian black waxed cord to find the perfect balancing points. The large triangle on this work includes vintage thread details.
I collected the mulberry branches last summer. The mulberry bark was used to make paper for my other work.
One-of-a-kind. All wood sealed with Polycrylic.
