Living Classrooms Foundation Fresh Start Program

Fresh Start is a job skills program for out-of-school youth ages 16-19 referred through the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. The program uses carpentry as a medium to teach academic, life, and job readiness skills. Students work in Living Classroom's Maritime Institute building toolboxes, furniture, and custom projects. The curriculum is designed to increase self-reliance, teach problem solving and academic skills, and demonstrate how these skills and knowledge are used in a practical work environment.
