Made In Baltimore, Open Works, and SewLab USA are partnering to create a 6-week industrial sewing training program. This free pilot program will train participants in how to use a variety of industrial sewing and embellishing machines, as well as offer one-on-one connections with area employers in the clothing and accessories manufacturing sector. Participants will learn a variety of skills, culminating in the creation of a run of products for a local client. If you are interested in a job in production sewing or if you are a designer that wants to know more about the production process, this workshop is for you.
The program consists of 12 sessions that will run Wednesday evenings 6-9pm and Sunday afternoons 12-5pm from October 4 through November 12.
For more information, attend our info session at Open Works on Wednesday September 20 from 6-7pm. To register, go to http://www.openworksbmore.com/classes/ and scroll down to ‘Production Sewing Information Session’
